Celtic Capability Sailing has just one boat at the moment. That means that the spaces available for people to sail are limited. There are many groups in Barry and the south Wales area that are really excited about being able to sail for the first time with Celtic, but at the moment they are being added to a waiting list. The charity aims to buy a second boat as soon as possible to help us reach more people. A second boat will mean that larger groups and families can sail together too.
Celtic Capability Sailing has applied to the Aviva Community fund for money to buy a second boat. If successful, the bid could provide another ‘Hawk’ keel boat and the safety equipment needed to go with it. A second boat would make a huge difference to the charity and the people it works with, but Celtic Capability Sailing needs your help.
All bids for Aviva Community funds are currently open to public vote. The bids with the most votes by 20th November will go to the judges table for the final decision on who gets the funding they need. It takes just a few minutes to register to vote and Celtic Capability Sailing would really appreciate any support you can give. Please follow the link below and vote for Celtic. It doesn’t cost anything to vote but it could be worth a huge amount to disadvantaged and disabled people in Barry and south Wales.
